Danita Johnson is the Founder and CEO of Danita’s Divine Essentials, (DDE). Danita’s Divine Essentials was birthed from a place of wanting more. I prayed and asked God to show me His purpose for my life. I knew there was so much more for me to do and I wasn’t doing it. I needed to fill a void. After some soul searching, I asked myself, “What is my passion?” I’ve always had a heart for those less fortunate. I followed my heart and in October 2013, Danita’s Divine Essentials was created. DDE is a Non-Profit Organization that provides personal care products to individuals and families in need.

Since its conception, we have been able to provide over 1,000 bags filled with personal care products to veterans, individuals and families living in shelters, displaced families due to house fires, released inmates transitioning back into society and individuals and families simply needing some assistance. Our mission is to encourage people to feel good about themselves and their appearance by providing the necessary daily essentials. Each bag that a recipient receives is personalized to meet their needs. Men, women, children, and babies - wherever the need is, we are there to help.

Showing people we genuinely care by providing a service in the spirit of excellence with a smile is our goal. We believe in giving a “Hand Up not a Hand Out.” My why and my passion are what drives me. Hearing the testimonies, a simple thank you, seeing the smiles and helping to wipe away ones tears makes it all worth it. Hebrews 13:16 says, “Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.” I want God to get ALL the glory out of Danita’s Divine Essentials. It is by His grace and provision that we are able to do what we do. Truly it is more blessed to give than to receive.
